Aaron Hussey 

What Youth Ventures site are you based out of?  

I am working out of CBDC Avalon West 

What are some of your favourite hobbies?  

I enjoy playing guitar, working out, trouting, and playing sports. 

What’s your favourite movie? 

The Disney movie Cars, it has been my favourite since I was a little kid, 

What is your favourite band/artist?  

I’m a huge country fan so I think I would say Morgan Wallen but I also really like Eminem  

What is your favourite restaurant? 

Pop’s Dinner   

Do you have any pets?  

Yes, I have a cat named Jingles and a beta fish named Roger 

What is a fun fact about you?  

I have been a suffering Leafs fan for the last 20 years 

What’s one local business you admire? Why do you admire it? 

A local business I admire is Escape Quest NL, they are a company based in downtown St. John’s that design and host escape rooms. They have also started expaning across the province and have built an escape room into a church in the Placentia Area that is over 100 years old 

What does entrepreneurship mean to you?   

To me entrepreneurship is the chance to turn your hobbies and interests into a successful business. 

What are you looking forward to most this summer?  

I am looking forward to helping the youth in my area get started on their businesses. 

What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?  

 I think there is lots of opportunities for youth to create a business doing the odd jobs that people never seem to have time for, like cutting lawns, painting fences, and other general yard care. 

What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?  

Youth venture is a program that will help them turn their ideas into business and will be with them to provide support through each step of the process. 

What is a piece of advice you have for people of any age who are considering starting a business? 

Starting a businesses might seem scary, but if you have the chance to turn a hobby or interest into a job you’ll love you should always take the opportunity.
