What are some of your favourite hobbies?
Most of my life revolves around my favorite hobby, music, but some of my other hobbies include traveling, camping, cooking, and horror movies.

It’s tough to pick just one but I’ll have to go with George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead
What is your favourite band/artist?
I couldn’t possibly pick just one but I’ve been really enjoying Turnstile lately. Honorable mention to Aesop Rock, Miles Davis, and Baroness.
What is your favourite restaurant?
Yummi House (Toronto)
Do you have any pets?
I do! I have a cat named Buff.
What is a fun fact about you?
I am one of the biggest sports nerds you’ll ever meet.
What’s one local business you admire? Why do you admire it?
I’m originally from Toronto Ontario, I moved here in 2018 to study sound recording and production.
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
To me entrepreneurship means designing, and being responsible, for your own success. It requires perseverance and a dedication to learning and growth. Lots of entrepreneurial ventures begin as a labour of love and can be risky, but entrepreneurship also brings a deep sense of purpose, and connection to one’s work.
What is the coolest business you have heard of?
I’m biased but the coolest business I can think of is being in a professional musical artist – not only does it give you opportunities to create and share your art with people, but it can involve traveling all over the world with your friends.
What are some interesting business opportunities you see for young entrepreneurs within the music industry?
There are a few different directions young entrepreneurs could take to start a business in the music industry. There are opportunities to work in event management, promotion (Street team for postering/fliers), graphic design (logos, show posters, etc.), Music education, as an audio engineer (live or in studio), music journalist, DJ, or as a band / artist.

What is a piece of advice you have for people of any age who are considering starting a business?
Do it! The most important thing is to start building skills and experience, and starting a business is a great way to learn a lot about how businesses in general, and how specific industries work and that can pay off in ways you can’t even imagine down the line.
