Meet Your Coordinator: Gary Noseworthy – CBDC Trinity Conception

Meet Your Coordinator is a series where we interview your Youth Ventures coordinators so that you can get to know them. We are back again for the 2018 Youth Ventures season, and today we have Gary Noseworthy at CBDC Trinity Conception.

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

  • Painting 28mm scale Miniatures for fantasy table top games.
  • Trying to make people laugh.
  • Hanging out with friends

What’s your favourite movie?

Hard to select just one but here are a few I always love to watch:

  • Animal crackers (1930) Marx Brothers
  • Laugh, Clown, Laugh (1928)
  • Dumb and Dumber
  • The labyrinth
  • See No Evil, Hear No Evil

What is your favourite band?

Can’t pick one band, but here are a few songs to showcase my musical taste:

  • Operator by Jim Croce
  • Too much time on my hands by Styx
  • For reasons unknown by The killers
  • Ruin by Lamb of God
  • Friday I’m in love by The Cure

What is your favourite restaurant?

I’d pick a home cooked meal any day of the week

Do you have any pets?

Yes, a beautiful cat named Squiggie. She is just coming up on 15 years old.

What does entrepreneurship mean to you?

Entrepreneurship is being able to work at what you love, being able to take your dreams and create a viable business

What is the coolest business you heard of?

Abbyshot Custom Clothiers Makes replicas of movie, TV and video game costumes.
They turned that passion and love of entertainment into a great business, they create what they love, which is truly inspiring.

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

I am looking forward to seeing all the accomplishments from this year’s participants.

What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?

Recreation to me can be huge, the Trinity Conception area has great venues for a sport/outdoor business venture.

What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?

It is a great program with many personal and financial benefits

What is the most important thing people of any age who want to start a business need to know?

Help is out there, and being able to find support is the key to success
