What Youth Ventures site are you based out of?

What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I love reading, hiking, and going to the beach!
What’s your favourite movie?
I love almost any superhero movie.
What is your favourite band?
I really like The Strokes and Weak Size Fish.
What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
Entrepreneurship to me is turning your ideas and passions into profit and bringing opportunities into your community.
What is the coolest business you heard of?
I love Kailey’s Creations! Kailey sells seashell art to raise awareness of sea turtle endangerment. Another one of my favourites is Camp Ohana a camp for LGBTQ+ youth that is held in Pasadena.
What are you looking forward to most this summer?
I am most looking forward to working with my participants and helping their businesses grow and flourish.
What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?
There is definitely an opportunity to be seized at the Cape Ray Come Home Year this summer! As well, the local museum gift shops and the Scott’s Cove kiosks are always big hits.
What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?
Youth in NL should know that our program is flexible, manageable, and fun! We are here to help you in any way we can, and it’s so easy to get started.
What is the most important thing people of any age who want to start a business need to know?
The first step is to make a sound business plan so you can focus on your goals and get all your ideas organized.
