Meet Your Coordinator: Nicolas White – CBDC Humber

I have 2 dogs

What does entrepreneurship mean to you?

To me entrepreneurship means taking something that your passionate about and turning it into your career

What is the coolest business you heard of?

The coolest business I’ve heard of is an escape room.

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

Helping youth turn their passions into a jobs

What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?

There are a lot of youth with many talented hobbies but are not selling the things that they are making and I believe that the possibility for they to take something that they love doing an turn it into something that can make them money will be important for the community and the future of the province.

What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?

That it’s free, most things today are not free, however we are. You can ask us anything and if we don’t know the answer we will not stop until we can find it and help you out. Youth ventures is a great avenue to test out your business idea and get an idea on if it is something that you might actually want to peruse in the future as your career.

What is the most important thing people of any age who want to start a business need to know?

It is important to know that failing is an option, and we are not as successful if we do not fail. Pushing yourself outside your comfort zone and having the potential to fail is what will push you the furthest in your business.
