What Youth Ventures site are you based out of?
Southern Labrador!! I live in Port Hope Simpson, however, my region is Lodge Bay-Cartwright.

What are some of your favourite hobbies?
 Boating, Ski Dooing, Fishing, Crocheting…

What’s your favourite movie?
I’m not a big movie person, however, I do like anything comedy… Melissa McCarthy’s movies are so funny!

What is your favourite band/artist?
I’m not particular at all when it comes to music, however, I do prefer dance or country

What is your favourite restaurant?
Definitely Jungle Jims… or anywhere that serves a good steak!!

Do you have any pets?
No, but my boyfriend has the sweetest German Shepherd named Harley and we take No, although I do love puppies!

What is a fun fact about you?
Ummm, that’s a hard one… a fun fact about me is that I love to have fun!! I enjoy a good laugh with friends… someone has to be the life of the party right?! 🙂

What does entrepreneurship mean to you?
Owning your own business!! Find something you love or have a passion for and bring it to life!!  Love when a young person can take their hobby & make money with it!!

What is the coolest business you heard of?
Oh my, I’m not sure, there are so many of them, each so unique & I love each of them the same.

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

To make lots of community connections, partner with who I can, as well as reach out to as many youth as possible in our area.  I’m also excited to help new participants/ businesses get set up with their new and exciting products.

What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?
Anything that portrays our culture/ heritage, car wash, berry picker, scenic photography, ice berg sales, etc.

What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?
It’s an exciting program to be involved in, that we as Coordinators are here for them & will help them with their business in any way we can.

What is a piece of advice you have for people of any age who are considering starting a business?
Don’t be afraid to take risks, research places that are out there to help offset costs, research its viability, etc.
