Meet Your Coordinator: William Neville – CBDC Avalon West

Meet Your Coordinator is a series where we interview your Youth Ventures coordinators so that you can get to know them. We are back again for the 2018 Youth Ventures season, and today we have William Neville at CBDC Avalon West in Placentia.

What’s your name?

My name is William Neville

What Youth Ventures site are you based out of?

I am based out of Avalon West and working in Placentia

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

Some of my favorite hobbies include sports, playing/ listening to music and spending time with my friends.

What’s your favourite movie?

My favorite movie is a tie between “That’s My Boy” and “Step Brothers”

What is your favourite band?

I have a few favorite bands including The Tragically Hip, The Cult and Mumford and Sons

What is your favourite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is Wing n it

Do you have any pets?

I have 3 dogs. 1 black lab and 2 shih tzu’s

What does entrepreneurship mean to you?

Entrepreneurship to me is the bravery and determination to create a successful product/service and sell it successfully

What is the coolest business you heard of?

The coolest business I have heard of was about a youth venture who made jewelry out of guitar strings

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

This summer I am looking forward to learning more about the program and helping people promote their business to maximize potential and profits

What are some interesting business opportunities you see in your region?

In my region, I see a lot of potential for services around the area that people desire and would take advantage of like lawn mowing or painting

What do youth in NL need to know about Youth Ventures?

The youth in NL need to know that youth ventures is an excellent foundation for starting a business and that there is high potential if the person is engaged and interested

What is the most important thing people of any age who want to start a business need to know?

For anyone looking to start a business, they need to know that it takes work and dedication to be successful. No successful entrepreneur was made easily and over time you can see improvements and success.
