VENTURE BOX ALUMNI FEATURE: ALEX ANTLE

Alex Antle is an Indigenous beadwork artist from Gillams, NL. She is the owner of Bunchberry Beadwork, an E-commerce website that sells beaded jewelry and accessories. Alex teamed up with Youth Ventures to curate a kit for the Venture Box project!

Alex combined her talent for beadwork with all the knowledge and experience she has gained through working with Youth Ventures to inspire other Indigenous youth to start their own businesses too!

ABOUT ALEX

Alex is passionate about beading as it connects her to her Mi’kmaq culture and allows her to share it around the world!

Starting her own beading business has connected her to her community through teaching workshops and setting up at markets where she can meet community members across the province.

Alex joined Youth Ventures in 2018 and won Venture of the Year in 2021! Youth Ventures helped Alex achieve success for Bunchberry Beadwork by mentoring her through challenging skills like budgeting.
